Foxfire Grill Will Close in October

Foxfire Grill had a major revamp when it was featured on a reality TV show back in early 2020.

Foxfire Grill, which underwent a dramatic makeover on the reality TV show, Restaurant Impossible, will close at the end of October.

The restaurant on Little River Turnpike in Fairfax County has indoor and outdoor seating, as well as a full bar. Its last day will be October 31.

“Unfortunately, we were unable to renew our lease. Our 20 years at Pinecrest Plaza have been amazing! We have been able to build relationships and friendships with the community that I personally live in and love,” owner Terri Fox wrote on the restaurant’s website.

“I’ve had the pleasure of watching families grow and even had the benefit of giving young adults their first job! We made it through Snowmageddon, the Derecho, an earthquake, and of course COVID. All with the support of this wonderful community. I truly want to thank you all for everything you’ve done for us and by extension each other,” Fox’s message said.

The American cuisine restaurant opened in 2003. When it was featured on Restaurant Impossible, the owners at the time, Fox and Jacki Coppage, told celebrity chef and Food Network host Robert Irvine that Foxfire Grill had not made a profit in 16 years.

Irvine revamped the restaurant’s décor and menu in the emotional episode that aired January 23, 2020. 6550 Little River Tpke., Alexandria
