Leesburg Brings Back Sidewalk Dining

The town will shut down South King Street on Friday nights so you can enjoy your meal outside at participating restaurants.

By Colleen Kelleher April 25, 2023 at 8:46 am

Outdoor dining comes back to Leesburg, beginning on Friday, May 5.

The town said South King Street, from Market to Loudoun streets, will close on Fridays to create the outdoor dining area for participating restaurants, but there will not be any live outdoor entertainment.

South King Street will close around 4:30 p.m. and reopen by 9:30 p.m.

Sidewalk dining will be allowed between 5 and 9 p.m. every Friday until October 6. It will be canceled if the weather is bad.

There will be designated on-street parking for food delivery and pickup on East and West Market Street, adjacent to the King Street intersection.

Leesburg said that there will not be outdoor dining on May 26, June 30, August 11, or September 29.
