Celebrate Labor Day With Feast by Nina May

The DC restaurant is delivering a unique dining experience to NoVA.

Want a special Labor Day meal? Or just don’t feel like cooking on a weekday or weekend night? On both occasions, Feast by Nina May has got you covered. You may recognize the name Nina May as a destination that opened in DC’s Logan Circle late last year. But did you know that the New American restaurant delivers to Northern Virginia?

In April, Nina May owners Danilo Simic and chef Colin McClimans created Feast as a way to feed their customers during the pandemic. The deliveries can be made within 25 miles of DC and are contactless. The meal kits have the mise en place already completed, so all you have to do is cook the pre-prepped food, resulting in restaurant-quality meals that you make yourself whenever you want them.

“Even though we can serve only some of our guests in our restaurant, we still have so much more desire and passion to provide the same hospitality and dining experiences at home through food and service. This is why we decided to launch Feast. We want to not only bring the restaurant dining experience right to our guests’ doorsteps, but we want it to include all the smells, tastes and background stories that come with our food,” the owners explained in a press release.

Labor Day deliveries are available on Friday and Saturday and must be reserved by the day before delivery by 12 pm . The summery Southern menu includes jalapeño poppers with pimento cheese, house-smoked bacon and caramelized onion dip; benne seed-crusted pork ribs with cabbage slaw, carrot mustard and roasted potato wedges; and summer berry icebox cake with cookie crumbs, mascarpone whipped cream and candied pistachios for dessert.

Already have Labor Day covered? You can order a Feast box for Tuesday or Wednesday delivery, or Saturday or Sunday delivery, at any time. For September, there are five available multicourse menus, ranging from meat-filled to vegetarian. All of the meals are focused on local products. There are batch cocktails too, including the Nina May favorites, such as From Oaxaca With Love, made with jalapeño-infused mezcal, lime, a house Amaro blend, orgeat and lime.
