In today’s world, going grocery shopping isn’t just about picking up food for the week. It’s about having an experience. At least that’s the case for Whole Foods Market shoppers.
The grocery store brand is expanding with a new store in Tysons that will boast a food hall, a pub and a game room, as well as grocery items and prepared foods and products from local suppliers.
The new location will open on Wednesday, Oct. 30 at 7 a.m. at 1635 Boro Place. Opening-day customers will receive a complimentary coffee from Cafe Kreyol, breakfast bites and music before the store opens its doors for the first time.
The first 200 guests will also receive a Whole Foods Market Tysons Corner reusable canvas tote bag and a savings card with a mystery value ranging between $5 and $100.
Inside, shoppers will find an in-house bakery; a full-service butcher department; a seafood department; a specialty foods section with hundreds of cheeses overseen by the in-store American Cheese Society-certified cheese professional; a hot and cold food bar; a full-service Allegro coffee and tea bar; and JRINK, a juice bar offering smoothies, smoothie bowls and cold-pressed juices.
The food hall at the Tysons location will include choices from Officina, serving Italian food; Genji Izakaya, featuring sushi, poke, dumplings and ramen; Curiosity Doughnuts; and Rappahannock Oyster Co.
