Cocina on Market links up with Catoctin Creek Distilling Company for a house agave: Dos Gringos. It launched the tequila-style liquor at the Leesburg restaurant this week. [Facebook]

The owner of Queen of Sheba in Manhattan and local investor Daniel Solomon opened Makeda, an Ethiopian restaurant in Alexandria’s Van Dorn section, with Senait “Mimi” Tedla as chef. [Eater]
