After occupying the 900-square-foot glass cube in Mosaic District’s Strawberry Park for a year, Dolcezza‘s pop-up coffee shop is now turning into a permanent space: Mom & Pop.

Debuting today from Dolcezza’s owners Robb Duncan and Violeta Edelman, the new shop will sell more than coffee (nitro!) and pastries, though that’s on the menu too. There are also sandwiches, charcuterie and cheese, plus beer and wine. It’s “kind of like an all day thing in between, before or after a movie at Angelika [Film Center] or dinner,” says Duncan.

Local food and drink companies—Red Apron Butchery, Gordy’s Pickle Jar, 3 Stars Brewing Company, Righteous Cheese, Whisked, Paisley Fig by Room 11, Stumptown Coffee Roasters—will contribute to the menu. “[We’re] collaborating [with] these artisans and serving food we buy from them,” Duncan says. “It’s just really choosing the best products that are made by friends of ours.”

Unlike Dolcezza, which has eight locations, Duncan and Edelman have no intentions of expanding Mom & Pop. “This is a one-all,” says Duncan. “We’re doing Mom & Pop in the middle of Mosaic, and that’s the only place it’s going to be done.” / Opening today; Mom & Pop, 2909 District Ave., Fairfax.
