Alexandria’s newest neighborhood café and wine bar is now serving espresso beverages, wine, pastries, and charcuterie. The shop aims to offer a relaxed and intentional atmosphere both inside and in its garden. Haraz Coffee House
A new location of Haraz Coffee House has opened in Sterling, expanding its Yemeni-inspired coffee and tea menu. The Michigan-born chain specializes in Yemeni coffee, espresso drinks, teas, and traditional pastries. Life Alive Organic Café
The Boston-based Life Alive Organic Café has officially opened its Old Town Alexandria location. The wellness-focused chain is known for its plant-forward menu of warm grain bowls, smoothies, and salads. Caffeinated health junkies can indulge in pressed juices, wellness shots, and selection of coffee and tea beverages. There are also “superfood lattes” such as the Hot Golden Milk, which has turmeric, ginger, cayenne and black peppers, and maple. 400 King St., Alexandria
Underdog Coffee and Bread
Underdog Coffee and Bread has made its way to Bailey’s Crossroads, Annandale Today reported. The café serves the same menu as its first location in Annandale, including specialty coffee drinks with flavors like butterscotch, pistachio, and ube coconut. Cuppi Coffee
This cute café is opening a new shop in Springfield, only months after opening its recent Alexandria store this spring. Although the location and opening date have not been announced, patrons are sure to expect their classic coffee, tea, and espresso drinks. Cuppi Coffee also offers smoothies, sparkling drinks, pastries, and a variety of sandwiches. Location TBA, Springfield
Shotted
Shotted is opening its first drive-thru concept this summer, according to FFXNow. The Saudi-style shop is taking over the former Compass Coffee location in West Falls Church, focusing on serving early risers. Customers will be able to purchase a variety of coffees, teas, pastries, and desserts such as soft-serve ice cream and cakes. Weird Brothers
A Northern Virginia favorite is heading to Vienna. Weird Brothers Coffee will be opening its first franchise store this summer, making it the company’s fourth location. Known for its freshly roasted coffee and specialty “mischief menu” drinks, customers can expect the sips they know and love. Be sure to check out espresso flights to taste any three espresso, cold brew, or tea lattes.
