Smoothie lovers, take note: South Block is opening a new location. To celebrate, the fast-casual eatery is giving away food, gift cards, and swag.

The new South Block is located off New Dominion Parkway at 1835 Fountain Dr. in Reston. The grand opening kicks off at 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 25.

The first 100 guests will receive a free mini warrior bowl. There will also be a banana costume contest, in which three winners will earn gift cards. The event will feature a live DJ, and the store will pass out free merchandise throughout the day.

The brand specializes in made-to-order smoothies, açai bowls, toasts, and cold-pressed juices. It opened its first location in 2011 on the south side of a block in the Clarendon neighborhood, which inspired its name. It has expanded throughout Virginia, Maryland, and DC, and the new Reston location marks the brand’s 21st.

“Opening our doors in Reston gives us a great opportunity to meet the community here,” said Amir Mostafavi, CEO and founder of South Block. “Our goal has always been to create a space where people can enjoy fresh food, good company, and a welcoming atmosphere — and this new spot gives us another chance to do just that.”

The store will be open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
