The region’s breweries are putting on Oktoberfest celebrations like no other. And while the beer is the main star of the event, The Alpine Chef Restaurant in Fredericksburg is serving up a 6-pound pretzel at its upcoming Alpine Oktoberfest that is sure to grab your attention.

Alpine Oktoberfest is Saturday, October 11, and pretzel lovers are sure to gravitate toward this massive German delicacy. Make sure to bring a big group to help you eat it — the pretzel can feed between 10 to 12 people. The cost? $90.

But if that’s too much pretzel for your group, the restaurant also has a 2-pound option on the menu for $27.

Beer and pretzels aren’t the only thing you’ll find at the Alpine Oktoberfest. The celebration will also feature all-day food specials and other German favorites. Entertainment for the day includes live music, photo opportunities, and plenty of traditional games, like stein holding, keg tossing, and bowling.

Alpine Oktoberfest kicks off at 11 a.m. on Saturday and is free to attend. 200 Lafayette Blvd., Fredericksburg
