Head to Fredericksburg to Order a Giant Doughnut for Your Next Party

Skip the cake and head to Freddy Donuts for 12- and 18-inch doughnuts.

We know cakes aren’t the only way to celebrate special occasions. Cupcakes, cake pops, and dessert tables have all had their moment. But what about a giant doughnut? Well, you can make that dream a reality at Freddy Donuts in Fredericksburg.

Freddy Donuts is known for its hand-cut and hand-fried doughnuts. The shop added its now signature Party Donut to the menu back in 2015.

The gigantic Party Donut is completely customizable. Customers can choose any of the shop’s glazes or toppings, including strawberry glaze, sprinkles, coconut, and bacon.

Freddy’s offers two size of Party Donut: a 12-inch version that feeds between six and eight adults, or an 18-inch doughnut, which feeds 10 to 16 adults. Orders need to be placed at least 24 hours in advance.

The price of the Party Donut starts at $25, depending on the size and toppings that are added to the celebratory treat. “Most people are impressed and happy with the price point for a party ‘cake,’ as most custom cakes elsewhere are much more expensive,” says Heather Grimes, owner of Freddy Donuts.

Freddy also serves regular-sized doughnuts – from classics to seasonal and specialty flavors – coffee, espresso, chai, tea, and other specialty items.
