Hanukkah, the Jewish holiday known as the Festival of Lights, kicks off this year at sundown on December 25 and spans eight days, ending on January 2, 2025. If you’re planning gatherings or celebrations for the holiday and want to have tasty holiday food but don’t want to be in charge of the prep, here’s where to go for an easy, delicious catered Hanukkah meal.

Balducci’s

The grocery chain offers easy catering options. Entrée choices include brisket, turkey, lamb, salmon, chicken, rib roast, and more. Each meal comes with a starter, three sides, a bread, and a dessert. Multiple area locations

Bethesda Bagels

Family boxes of bagels from this bakery will take care of any breakfast gatherings. Packages feed four, six, or eight people and come with bagels, smoked salmon, and an assortment of toppings, as well as matzoh ball soup, latkes, cookies, and gelt. 1851 N. Moore St., Arlington

Call Your Mother Deli

When it comes to Hanukkah, Call Your Mother offers trays of latkes with options for the classic pairings of apple jam and sour cream or a deluxe tray that also includes smoked salmon, red pepper jelly, horseradish creme fraiche, and pickled veggies. For dessert, it offers raspberry-guava jelly doughnuts similar to sufganiyot. Multiple area locations

Celebrity Delly

This catering company will have your holiday meal prep taken care of. You can order a slow-braised brisket accompanied by potato latkes, kugel, and a New York cheesecake for dessert. Pickup and local delivery are available December 26 through February 2. 7263A Arlington Blvd., Falls Church

Chutzpah Deli

Fairfax’s “real New York deli” has plenty of options for a Hanukkah meal to-go. It serves meats by the pound, including house-roasted brisket and other kosher deli meats. The catering menu has a variety of hot entrée options, such as chicken Parmesan with pasta, roasted turkey, and slow-smoked barbecue brisket. 12214 Fairfax Town Center, Fairfax

CMB at Home

Chef Matt Baker’s Hanukkah dinner feeds two to four diners, with an option for either brisket or crispy, whole-roasted dorade as the main event. Whichever you choose, round out the meal with latkes, matzoh ball soup, potatoes, and baby carrots. Choose from peppermint bark or jelly doughnuts for dessert. 1201 K St. NW, Washington, DC, 1065 Wisconsin Ave. NW, Washington, DC
