Wherever you are located in Northern Virginia, you’ll probably find dozens of breweries, restaurants, and wineries. But if you have a dog, you may be looking for a pet-friendly space where your pooch can get in on the fun too. Here are the best dog-friendly drinking and dining spots in NoVA, according to our readers.

Dog-Friendly Breweries

2 Silos Brewing Co.

This Manassas Brewery, which is a part of Farm Brew Live, welcomes dogs in the outside area. 9925 Discovery Blvd., Manassas, 703-420-2264

Bear Chase Brewing Company

This Loudoun County brewery allows your four-legged friends to join you, outside the main pavilion. After you chow down on your food and drinks, they welcome you to take a walk around the property. 33665 Bear Chase Lane, Bluemont, 540-554-8210

Caboose Brewing Co.

Dirt Farm Brewing

Head over to Bluemont for a special day with your favorite dog at Dirt Farm Brewing. 18701 Foggy Bottom Rd., Bluemont, 540-554-2337

Fair Winds Brewing Company

It makes sense that Fair Winds, with its homey vibe and reliably fun-to-drink brews, would be one of the breweries to allow dogs inside as well as out. 7000 Newington Rd., Ste. K&L, Lorton, 703-372-2001

New District Brewing Co.

Join the Dog Club at New District Brewing and for special access to the brewery with your pup from Sundays to Wednesdays. 2709 S. Oakland St., Arlington, 703-888-5820

Port City Brewing Company

Have your dog tag along on your next trip and enjoy a fun afternoon on the patio at Port City Brewing. 3950 Wheeler Ave., Alexandria, 703-797-2739

Vanish Brewery

This brewery-on-a-farm would already be a dream hangout for dogs, but add in a dedicated “Dogtown” room, and it’s a must visit. The fact that Vanish makes superb brews, from sours to barrel-aged, means you’ll be just as satisfied as your dog. 42245 Black Hops Lane, Leesburg, 703-779-7407

Solace Brewing Company

If your pup is feeling fancy, you’ll want to take them to Solace Brewing Company, where dogs can join their owners in the tasting room. 42615 Trade West Dr., Ste. 100, Dulles, 703-345-5630

Green Hill Winery & Vineyards

Dog-Friendly Restaurants & Bars

Barkhaus

Barkhaus was made for this list: it’s a literal dog park, both indoor and outdoor, combined with a bar and restaurant. If your idea of a great afternoon is watching your dog bounce around with some new buddies as you chow down on a cheeseburger or sip froze (and how could it not be?), then this is the place for you. 529 East Howell Ave., Alexandria, 703-419-3947

Black Bear Bistro & Brick Oven

A broad crowd-pleasing menu (everything from Neapolitan pizza to catfish casserole), a dog-friendly patio, and lovely weather make for an afternoon you’ll remember. 32 Main St., Warrenton, 540-428-1005

Copperwood Tavern

On your next trip to Copperwood Tavern, have your dog tag along and sign them up for the restaurant’s Dog of the Month club for a chance to make the Dog Wall of Fame. Copperwood Tavern Shirlington: 4021 Campbell Ave., Arlington, 703-552-8010

Fire Works Pizza

Fire Works Pizza in Leesburg allows dogs to post up on the patio, then order from their own little menu, complete with homemade dog biscuits and, believe it or not, “Dog Beer” (a can of pork bone broth that’s non-alcoholic, but apparently loved by dogs). Each order comes with a free dog bowl. 201 Harrison St. SE, Leesburg, 703-779-8400

Foxfire Grill

Bring your pup along on your next lunch break at Foxfire Grill for some special doggie treats off the menu. 6550 Little River Turnpike, Alexandria, 703-914-9280

Lena’s Wood-Fired Pizza & Tap

After a walk around the neighborhood, have a fun lunch with your dog and let them pick something off the “For the Pooch” menu. 401 E. Braddock Rd., Alexandria, 703-683-5330
