Celebrations are always more enjoyable when your four-legged friend can join the party. This year, treat your dog to a special Halloween celebration. From dog parades to trick-or treating, here are four dog-friendly Halloween events for a pup-tastic holiday celebration.

Doggie Trick-or-Treating at Dogma Bakery

Oct. 31, 2-4 p.m.
Take your dog out on their own trick-or-treating adventure at Dogma Bakery. Each registered pup will receive a trick or treating bag to store all of their yummy homemade treats. And don’t forget to dress your pet up in their halloween costume for the virtual contest. // Dogma Bakery: 2772 S. Arlington Mill Drive, Arlington; $12 per dog

Pet Parade on the Green

Oct. 31, 4-4:45 p.m.
Dress your dogs in their Halloween best for the annual Great Falls Pet Parade. Let your dog have fun with other pups as they strut their stuff down the street. Prizes will be awarded for special categories. // Great Falls Village Centre Green: 776 Walker Road, Great Falls; free

Jack O’ Lantern Jog 5k

Oct. 25, 7-11 a.m.
Kick off Halloween week with a spooky 5k run. The court for this pet-friendly event features a beautiful waterfront view as you wind through the park’s paved and gravel trail. Make sure to wear your costumes and enter the costume contest before the race. // Algonkian Regional Park: 47001 Fairway Drive, Sterling; $20-$25

Bark Bash

Oct. 24, noon-4:30 p.m.
With one week left until Halloween, start your celebration at One Loudoun’s second annual Bark Bash. This pet festival will feature vendors, music, adoptable dogs and lots of pups in adorable costumes. The event will also include a virtual costume contest, which will be open for submissions starting Oct. 5. Pre-registration is required. // One Loudoun: 20626 Easthampton Plaza, Ashburn; free
