Great Wolf Lodge moved up the opening date for its new water park on Maryland’s upper Eastern Shore by more than two weeks to June 28.
The massive 48-acre resort in Perryville will be the largest Great Wolf has built, with more than 128,000 square feet of indoor slip-sliding fun.
Great Wolf Maryland, which will be about a two-hour ride from Northern Virginia, had planned to open July 15.
The company has nearly 700 positions to fill, and plans to hold a hiring event in May, said Alison Hoesli, public relations manager for Great Wolf, in an email.
The resort, which also has a location in Williamsburg, will debut two new rides at the Cecil County location. The High Paw Holler is a body slide that mimics racing down a ski slope, while the Forest Flume will takes riders through back-to-back turns, 360-degree loops, and high-banking loops, the company said. The new location will have 22 slides.
