A trip to visit the home of Patsy Cline started John Lingan on his journey for Homeplace. Questions led him to Jim McCoy, owner of Troubadour Lounge & Park, what Lingan calls “the only twang-and-sawdust roadhouse left in the Virginias”, and a man who embodies what the Shenadoah music scene gave to this nation. Lingan also uses the area to spotlight the struggles of a small town’s economic future and keeping an identity. (July 2018)

Continuing with his Jonathan Grave thriller series, New York Times bestselling author John Gilstrap takes readers to an island that seems to be set in paradise, that is until a group of killers is holding its residents hostage, setting up a potential war. Grave and his counterpart are able to escape into the jungle to counteract the insurgency. Grave pushes himself to his limit as he attempts to stop a global war from starting without the help of his partner, or any weapons of his own. (June 2018)
