There’s a new FIFA tournament in town and it’s coming to Washington, DC. The FIFA Club World Cup has selected Audi Field as one of the host locations during its 2025 tournament.

The inaugural tournament will be held from June 15, 2025, to July 13, 2025, across 12 different stadiums across the United States.

“Being chosen as a host for the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 is a testament to the world-class experience that Audi Field offers,” Jason Levien, D.C. United CEO and co-chairman, said in a recent news release. “This prestigious tournament will showcase the best in club football, and we are excited to be at the center of it, providing a stage for incredible moments and unforgettable fan experiences.”

Other stadiums that have been tapped to host include Mercedes-Benz Stadium (Atlanta), Bank of America Stadium (Charlotte), TQL Stadium (Cincinnati), Rose Bowl Stadium (Los Angeles), Hard Rock Stadium (Miami), GEODIS Park (Nashville), Camping World Stadium (Orlando), Inter & Co Stadium (Orlando), Lincoln Financial Field (Philadelphia), Lumen Field (Seattle), and MetLife Stadium (East Rutherford, New Jersey). MetLife Stadium, which will host the 2026 World Cup final, will also host the final game of the Club World Cup.

During the month-long tournament, 32 clubs from across the world will compete against each other for the title of FIFA Club World Champions. Some of the qualifying clubs include Chelsea, Real Madrid, Manchester City, Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain, and the Seattle Sounders. Of the 32 teams, only two have yet to qualify, including one from South America and one representing the host country.

The draw for the tournament will be held in December, with the schedule being released shortly after the groups are selected. Ticket information for the tournament will be released at a later date, but fans can register for ticket and hospitality updates.
