Civil War Living History with the Out-of-Time Teachers at the Museum of Culpeper History
April 15-17 from 9 am-5 pm. The Civil War encampment and Out-of-Time Teachers event will be open to the public. There will be Civil War reenactments and demonstrations of what domestic life around town would have been like during war. Activities for kids will be on-going and training drills will be available for adults. Some activities include candle making, food preparation, spinning wool and churning butter. Civil War Cricket at the Graffiti House
April 16-17 from 10 am-4 pm. During the time of the Civil War, Cricket was one of America’s favorite sports. Come celebrate this activity by partaking in games that will take place throughout the day. The games will be run on a continuous basis. No experience is required, and everyone is encouraged to participate. The Culpeper History: Above, Below and Beyond Walking Tour in Downtown Culpeper
April 16 @ 10 am & 2 pm. Take a walking tour of the downtown Culpeper area, conducted by local historian, Zann Nelson. Tours will begin at the Depot, and are limited to 20 guests per tour. All participants must be of at least eight years of age and able to navigate steps.
