MIDDLE EASTERN
Lebanese Taverna
Tanios and Marie Abi-Najm immigrated to Arlington with their five children in 1976 during the Lebanese Civil War. After a few years of working odd jobs, the family purchased a small restaurant in the Westover neighborhood in 1979, and now there are multiple locations in the area. Monthly cooking classes are offered, and this month’s focus is grilling summer ingredients like eggplant, zucchini, shrimp kabobs and sweet bell peppers. –SB
