Realtor.com recently released its list of the hottest zip codes in each state, and one NoVA town ranked second.

According to Realtor.com, Gainesville is the second-hottest zip code in Virginia. The ranking considered metrics such as listing price and days on the market.

Gainesville received a score of 85.66 on the ranking’s “Hotness Score,” and homes had an average of 47 days on the market. Homes had a median listing price of $720,000.

The Prince William County town was also on our list of the hottest zip codes in the NoVA area. It landed at No. 15 on our ranking.

Other Hottest Zip Codes

Also on Realtor.com’s Virginia list were Henrico at No. 1, then Radford at No. 3, Vinton at No. 4, and Forest at No. 5.

In addition to the state-based lists, Realtor.com also released an overall ranking of the top 10 hottest zip codes in the United States. No Virginia cities landed on that list.

The list’s top U.S. cities were Peabody, Massachusetts; Montclair, New Jersey; Sewell, New Jersey; Fairport, New York; and Westfield, Massachusetts.
