After much anticipation, Staples Grocery Company in Lucketts announced that the market and restaurant is opening on Thursday, May 14 from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. The market offers quick bites, sit-down meals, and pantry essentials.

Jonathan Staples and Hilda Staples, owners of Leesburg’s Vanish Farmwoods Brewery, have brought back the small-town market, a concept that previously helped connect communities in Virginia for decades.
“Staples Grocery is in Lucketts because it is where our family lives and works,” said the Staples Grocery social post. “Our farm is in Lucketts, and 12 members (and counting) of our family live here. We love it and believe you will as well.”

In the morning, the new market plans to serve baked goods, omelets, waffles, and espressos. By lunch, freshly made sandwiches, salads, soups, hamburgers, and other hot dishes will take over the menu. And, in the evening, diners can grab a glass of wine or a cocktail at the bar before sitting down for dinner.
In addition to in-store dining options, Staples Grocery will include a wine shop and a market with day-to-day home needs (which also allows you to skip sitting in Route 15 traffic).
The new market is replacing Roots 657, which closed in December 2025 after nearly 10 years in business. 42301 Spinks Ferry Rd., Leesburg
