The Fourth of July is almost upon us. And if you procrastinated and haven’t made plans, fear not. We have a list of great rooftop restaurants and bars where you can enjoy food, drinks, music, and of course, scenic views of the fireworks. Note that these events are age 21+ and require advance tickets.
Good Fortune
The signature bar at Hotel Heron is hosting a “Red, White & Boom” party this Fourth of July. This rooftop event goes way beyond just providing a great spot for fireworks viewing. There is also a DJ, craft cocktails, a BBQ station, and an ice cream bar with ice cream from Goodies frozen Custard and Treats. 699 Prince St., Alexandria
La Vie DC
La Vie’s annual Diamonds in the Sky event includes a variety of different seating options for your rooftop Fourth of July celebration. You can choose from outdoor lounge seating, high-tops, and cabanas, and there are indoor seating options as well. Food and drinks can be purchased a la carte, although some of the reservations come with a bottle of bubbly. The classic American menu created for the event includes dishes like mac n cheese, corn on the cob, and sliders. 88 District Square SW, Fl. 4.6, Washington, DC
L’Ardente
We all know and love L’Ardente because of their dynamic Italian fare, but did you also know they host a fabulous Fourth of July party every year on their rooftop? Their glass-enclosed conservatory provides the perfect space for viewing the fireworks, and this year the event will include decadent passed hors d’oeuvres, an open bar, and a luxurious dessert station. 200 Massachusetts Ave., NW, Washington, DC
Moonraker
This elegant bar at the Pendry is hosting a grand Fourth of July party, complete with American Japanese fusion small bites, seasonal cocktails, and stunning rooftop views of the fireworks over the Capitol. 655 Water St SW #14th, Washington, DC
Top of the Town
For their inaugural Fourth of July party, Top of the Town is going all out. The event venue will offer gorgeous skyline views of the fireworks, food stations, and an open bar featuring red and white-themed cocktails. Insider tip: The event starts at 7 p.m., but if you purchase a VIP ticket you can get the party started early at 6 p.m., with a few additional goodies thrown in! 1400 14th St. N, Arlington
