Panera Bread Returns to Reston

Panera is the latest tenant at Reston’s mixed-use Halley Rise development complex.

Six years after it closed up shop at the Reston Town Center, Panera Bread is back in the area. The popular fast-casual chain opened a new store on April 23 at 2041 Fulton Place in the Halley Rise mixed-use complex. It’s located at the intersection of Reston Parkway and Sunrise Valley Drive near the Reston Town Center Metro station.

“We are excited to grow our presence in this wonderful community and look forward to delivering the great tasting food and impeccable service our local guests have come to expect from Panera,” area operating partner Joel Duprey told FFXNow.

The new Reston location is open daily from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. It offers a full menu and features the brand’s new “urban format,” which is “geared toward serving guests on the go,” a spokesperson said. The restaurant has limited counter seating and features updated ordering kiosks.

For a limited time, Panera is also offering local nonprofits an opportunity to host a fundraising event at the new Reston location. The offer runs through July 23, and Panera will donate 30 percent of sales from the event back to the organization.
