Fairfax County Police have arrested two local men who were found in a stolen vehicle in Burke, according to a news release. The teens were also found with drugs and firearms.
The vehicle, a 2013 Hyundai, was reported stolen from Fair Oaks Shopping Center in Fair Lakes on January 16, around 4:45 p.m. The victim said that it was “stolen by a known suspect,” according to police, and the Auto Crimes Enforcement Unit responded to assist with the investigation.
Later that evening, police located the car at the 6000 block of Fred Oak Road in Burke. Two male suspects were inside the stolen car, and police recovered two illegal firearms and narcotics from inside the vehicle.
Daniel Shuford, 18, of Chantilly was charged with destruction of property, possession of schedule IV narcotics, carrying a loaded firearm in public places where prohibited, and carrying a concealed firearm. He has been released on bond from the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center.
Timothy Ndahiriwe, 19, of Fairfax, was charged with possession of a machine gun, carrying a loaded firearm in public places where prohibited, and carrying a concealed firearm. He was held at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center on a $20,000 bond.
