Fairfax County police hope the public can identify the handbag thieves who got away with over $100,000 in merchandise from the Tysons Galleria Chanel store two weeks ago.
The police released the above photo from security cameras in the June 25 heist in the 2000 block of International Drive.
They said the two men and three women entered the store just before 4 p.m. that Tuesday afternoon and “grabbed numerous handbags.”
One of the suspects “discharged a fire extinguisher at the loss prevention employee to facilitate his fleeing from the store,” police said.
The crew loaded the stolen handbags into a white Alfa Romeo SUV with an unknown suspect driver and took off. The police said it was likely the tags on the vehicle had been changed.
