Two little boys pulled from a Clifton house fire last Wednesday have died, their parents said in a Facebook post.
Firefighters rescued 6-year-old William Clarke Brice and 3-year-old Zachariah Henry Brice from the burning home in the 13900 block of Whetstone Manor Court. Their grandparents and an 8-year-old sibling made it out safely but also were taken to the hospital.
William and Zachariah, who were unresponsive for 45 minutes after the fire, have been on life support at Children’s National Hospital since Wednesday.
“We are devastated by these horrific events and heart broken that we lost our amazing sons,” Jamey Brice wrote. “Our prayers along with all of yours have been answered, just in a different way. It wasn’t what we picked, and we are learning to surrender and trust God more and more.”
The family asked friends to continue to pray for them and to “give us space we need this week to make some very difficult decisions.”
