In Alexandria, authorities arrested a 17-year-old wanted in connection with a mass shooting that wounded eight teenagers at a Philadelphia bus stop on March 6.
Marshals from the U.S. Marshals Eastern Pennsylvania Violent Crimes Fugitive Task Force and the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force took Asir Boone, 17, of Germantown, Pennsylvania, into custody on Tuesday. They arrested Boone, without incident, at an apartment in the 700 block of Seaton Avenue in Alexandria around 12:15 p.m., according to a news release.

The U.S. Marshals Service said Boone was wanted for attempted murder, firearms violations, and related charges in Philadelphia. The mass shooting of the high school students — seven boys and one girl all between the ages of 15 and 17 — occurred as they waited for a SEPTA bus in Philadelphia. Surveillance footage showed three masked shooters opening fire on the students. The fourth person drove the getaway car.
The other three people wanted for the crime are in custody.
“I hope this final arrest brings some comfort to the student victims of this senseless crime. No child should have to fear for their safety while receiving an education and I hope these arrests can subside that fear,” said Robert Clark, Supervisory Deputy U.S. Marshal for the Eastern Pennsylvania Violent Crime Fugitive Task Force.
