The internationally acclaimed Inn at Little Washington has a new general manager. Ed Gannon, who has decades of experience as chef and in hospitality industry, has joined the property.
“I am thrilled to share that I have joined the team at The Inn at Little Washington as General Manager. I am honored to be a part of this world-renowned property and work under the guidance of the ‘Pope of American Cuisine,’ Chef Patrick O’Connell,” Gannon wrote on LinkedIn.
In a Facebook post, the Inn welcomed Gannon.
Gannon joins the Inn as O’Connell celebrates 45 years as its sole proprietor and chef. The restaurant has repeatedly been awarded three stars by the Michelin Guide.
The move to add him also comes as the Inn plans an expansion that envisions more guest rooms, a spa with a pool, outdoor dining, a reception building, and a wine cellar and tasting hall.
Gannon most recently served as the general manager of the Stanly Ranch, Auberge Resorts Collection’s newest property in Napa Valley, California. Gannon joined Auberge in 2021, “where he gained extensive knowledge in creating and managing destination spas and new construction projects,” the Inn said.
His career started as an executive chef 30 years ago at the Relais & Châteaux property in Maine, and then became the executive chef at Boston’s iconic Four Seasons Hotel.
Gannon’s career includes managing properties owned by Rosewood Hotels & Resorts and managing Four Seasons properties in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, and in St. Kitts and Nevis.
He now lives in Warrenton with his wife Michelle and their two dogs, Rika and Pappi.
