Now that we are in the thick of May, Mother’s Day is fast approaching. This year, in addition to the thoughtful gift and beautiful bouquet (because you know your mom loves those) show your mom some extra love by taking her out to a special meal. Whether you’re craving brunch or dinner, these luxurious restaurants will set the scene for your memorable Mother’s Day celebration.

The Ritz-Carlton

Put on your Sunday best and take mom for a meal she won’t forget. The stunning brunch buffet will feature a raw bar, carving station, delectable dessert table, and more mouthwatering favorites. Plus, if you’re looking to pop the bubbly and raise a toast for the woman of honor, take advantage of the restaurant’s special offer for a bottle of Veuve Clicquot champagne. Sunday, 10:30 a.m.-3 p.m.; 1250 S. Hayes St., Arlington; $110 per person, $49 children 12 and under

Trummer’s

Celebrate your loving mother with an extravagant three-course meal. From chilled asparagus soup and red wine-braised beef short ribs to duck leg confit and chocolate cotton cheesecake, after an evening of unique dishes you’ll leave the restaurant feeling filled and loved. Sunday, 11 a.m.-5 p.m.; 7134 Main St., Clifton; $78 per person, $27 children 12 and under

L’Auberge Chez François

Treat the family to authentic French cuisine on this special day. The prix-fixe menu includes a variety of appetizers, salads, entrees, and desserts to choose from. Mix and match your favorite dishes to create your own truly unique plate. Sunday, times vary; 332 Springvale Rd., Great Falls; $125-$143 per person

2941

As Northern Virginia’s 2021 Best Restaurant, this meal is sure to be exquisite. The three-course prix-fixe menu will allow you to feast on delectable dishes, like foie gras terrine with preserved Luxardo cherry, corzetti margherita pasta, and chocolate cake paired with blueberry marmalade and yuzu-blueberry ice cream. Sunday, 11 a.m.-8 p.m.; 2941 Fairview Park Dr., Falls Church; $95 per person

The Conche

Whether your palette loves divine delicacies or you’re eating with the pickiest of eaters, The Conche has planned a special meal for your whole table. The Leesburg staple will be serving up breakfast pastries, seasonal fruit, hot entrees, and a special chocolate dessert just for mom. Sunday, 1605 Village Market Blvd. SE, Ste. J-108, Leesburg; $60 per person, $25 children 12 and under

The Black Sheep Restaurant

Combine great company, fantastic views, and delicious fare when you dine at this Manassas restaurant for Mother’s Day. With an expansive menu of locally sourced ingredients, your table will definitely have trouble picking the perfect meal. We’re definitely eyeing the Bacon Tower and American Kobe Burger.
