Graze Your Way Across 20 Restaurants At Taste of One Loudoun

Sample everything from Thai to gastropub fare at a first-time food festival in Ashburn.

Pull on your stretchy pants! This weekend, expansive Ashburn shopping center One Loudoun, one of the town’s most concentrated dining destinations, is serving up a new festival on Saturday, September 11. Taste of One Loudoun is a free festival with roughly 20 participating restaurants, some of which will be sharing complimentary samples. More substantial small plates filled with dishes from the eateries are available for purchase.

One Loudoun’s movie theater, Alamo Drafthouse, is behind the 6,000-square-foot beer garden that will serve up drinks to help fuel the fun. Besides eating, that includes live music and entertainment, as well as a photo booth, giveaways, and games.

But stuffing your gullet is the goal. Confirmed participants include Sense of Thai St., which will serve Thai basil chicken and Thai iced tea. The Lost Fox Hideaway is preparing its bourbon-glazed pork belly. Looking for something sweet? The Yard, known for its over-the-top milkshakes, is offering cookie-dough bites, while Fantasticks will have gelato, and Meadows Original Custard will be selling custard and Italian ice.

It takes place from 1-4 p.m., just after the One Loudoun farmers market ends for the day, so we recommend that foodies hit both for the ultimate in savory Saturdays.
