One person was critically injured in a shooting at Pentagon City Mall on Monday, July 1. The shooting occurred in the parking garage just before 2 p.m. The victim was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries and police have identified the shooter, but are still looking for a motive. A runner from Arlington, Michael Wardian, ran the entire length of the Beltway on Saturday, June 29, for a total of 89.9 miles in 17 hours and 54 minutes. Although he didn’t run on the actual Beltway, he ran a path of side streets that coincided with it, totaling almost 90 miles rather than the highway’s 60. (WJLA)
