Christmas Dining at Salamander Resort
Dec. 23-25
On Dec. 23 from 10 a.m.-3 p.m., the kids can meet and take a photo with Santa after chowing down on a sweet and savory brunch. The event also includes a holiday-themed craft station. Starting that same day and running from 4-9 p.m. through Dec. 25, Harriman’s will offer a five-course dinner featuring lobster, truffles and a custom dessert designed for the day’s festivities. The $120 dinner can be upgraded to include wine pairings for $160. There will also be a buffet-style brunch on Christmas Day from 10 a.m.-1:30 p.m. // Salamander Resort & Spa: 500 N. Christmas Eve Dinner and New Year’s Eve Dinner at Bastille
Dec. 24, 5-11 p.m.; Dec. 31, 5-11 p.m.
Though the restaurant is closed for brunch and lunch service on Christmas Eve, a $75 four-course prix fixe option remains. On the menu are appetizers that include a seafood chowder and smoked salmon and caviar, salads, entrees such as turkey and stuffing with Brussels sprouts and a grass-fed beef striploin roast with a Cabernet-truffle sauce, plus four dessert options. There will also be an $85 New Year’s Eve four-course feast sporting a lobster bisque, duck breast and grass-fed beef filet mignon, plus three desserts to choose from. // Bastille: 606 N. 2941 Restaurant’s Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve Prix Fixe Dinners
Dec. 24, Lunch: 11:30 a.m.-2 p.m., Dinner: 4-9 p.m.
Chef Bertrand Chemel has put together a special $89 Christmas menu that features a roasted duck breast, a black truffle risotto and Chilean Sea Bass, among many other appetizer, entree and dessert selections. A la carte options will not be available, but there will be a $25 children’s menu offering a choice of a caesar salad or crab cake to start, then either handmade spaghetti or beef rib eye, followed by an ice cream snowman or cookies for dessert. A $110 New Years’s Eve prix fixe menu—also with a $25 children’s option—will wrap up 2017 from 5-10:30 p.m., listing lamb, scallops and Atlantic Turbot as some of its main entree options.  // 2941 Restaurant: 2941 Fairview Park Drive, Falls Church

FYVE Restaurant Lounge’s Christmas and New Year’s Meals
Housed within Pentagon City’s Ritx-Carlton, FYVE Restaurant Lounge will host a Christmas Eve dinner, Christmas Day brunch, Christmas dinner and then a New Year’s Eve dinner only a few days later. Each menu provides a variety of unique offerings like a Christmas Eve pan-seared Grouper, Belgian chocolate crepes with a banana compote for brunch, a Christmas dinner Nantucket Bay scallops starter and a dry aged “1855” Manhattan-style striploin on New Year’s Eve. // FYVE Restaurant Lounge: 1250 S. Lansdowne Resort’s Christmas Day Brunch and New Year’s Eve Dinner
Dec. 25, 11 a.m.-3 p.m. and Dec. 31 
An omelet station and smoked pork and salmon don’t seem like out-of-the-ordinary brunch items, but what makes this meal unique is its seafood bar and sushi, pasta and dim sum stations at Waterfall Terrace. There will also be a winter vegetarian stew and dessert. Brabo’s New Year’s Eve 2017

Live Oak Restaurant New Year’s Eve Dinner
Dec. 31
For $55, choose from Live Oak’s specially crafted menu of oysters Rockefeller, lobster mezzaluna pasta, Foie Gras sausage or grilled Shenandoah beef ribeye and satisfy your sweet tooth with a blood orange cheesecake. Salamander Resort’s New Year’s Eve/Day Eats
Dec. 31, 5-10 p.m.; Jan. 1, 10 a.m.-1:30 p.m.
Sending 2017 out with a four-course dinner of lobster, truffles and more—with complimentary champagne, of course—this $162 dinner also gives guests access to the resort’s New Year’s Eve party. For $210, guests can have wines paired with their meal. Tuscarora Mill’s New Year’s Eve Dinner
Dec. 31
Prepare to ring in 2018 and say goodbye to 2017 with a three-course fixed-price menu at Tuscarora Mill. Choose from starters such as butternut squash soup or wagyu beef tartare and entrees such as a roasted rack of lamb, Alaskan halibut and king crab and the herbivorous course.
