The Proposal (as told by Michelle Soto):
My fiance and I met the summer of 2011 in Woodbridge, and after that day, we were inseparable.
Recently, he was working overseas in Dubai, and I took my second trip to see him this past summer in August. One day, he noted we were going to a nice dinner at the Al Qasr Hotel. Once we entered, a man said, “Welcome Erskin Melvin,” and led us upstairs. I was shocked the man knew my fiance’s name; it was like a movie. We entered a romantic outdoor oasis filled with candles and a photographer. My fiance led me down a red carpet, got down on one knee and proposed. I teared up, and of course I said yes.
After that, we had a three-course dinner and a photo shoot with a perfect view of the Burj Al Arab. It was beautiful. Now, we will get married in my home country, the Dominican Republic, in July.
