U.S. launches airstrike on Syrian airfield; more than 25,000 Northern Virginians lost power during Thursday storms

The Trump administration ordered a U.S. military airstrike on a Syrian airfield Thursday in response to a chemical attack in Syria earlier this week.

Severe storms Thursday left more than 25,000 in Northern Virginia without power and caused property damage in the region. There were tornado warnings in parts of the region, and a funnel cloud was spotted near Ashburn.
