6 Halloween-themed workouts to attend this weekend

Add some spook to your weekend workout with one of these Halloween fitness events.

Before you snack on all of that leftover candy over the next week, make sure to get in a good workout. Mix your fitness routine with the holidays and stop by one of these six Halloween-themed workouts.

Spookasana in Paradise!

Thursday, 5:30-7 p.m.
Spookasana is the perfect combination of yoga and Halloween. This Halloween bash combines 45 minutes of yoga flow with Halloween songs and sounds for a truly spooky workout. Costumes are suggested. // Paradise Springs Winery: 13219 Yates Ford Road, Clifton; $35

POUND & Pumpkins

Friday, 6-7 p.m.
Get in a family workout at Vint Hill Yoga. Start off the night with a 45-minute POUND workout then have some fun with the costume contest, Halloween goodies and adult beverages. // Vint Hill Yoga: 7154 Farm Station Road, Warrenton; $15

Halloween Zumba Party!

Friday, 7-8 p.m.
Have a Halloween dance party from the comfort of your home. Add some festive flair to the hour-long Zumba class by wearing a costume or Halloween-inspired workout outfit. // $25 per household

Bends and Brews (or Boos!)

Saturday, 11 a.m.-2 p.m.
Enjoy some yoga and boos at Adventure Brewing’s yoga flow event. Enjoy a Halloween-themed outdoor yoga session then head inside to warm up and enjoy some drinks. Participants are welcome to wear a Halloween costume. // Adventure Brewing Company: 33 Perchwood Drive, Fredericksburg; $15

Jack O’Lantern Jog 5k

Sunday, 7-11 a.m.
Get in the Halloween spirit by running in the first annual Jack O’Lantern Jog. Take in the beautiful fall scenery as you run along the river and make sure to dress in your best costume for the costume contest. After the race, pick up some pumpkins hot cider and kettle corn for a true fall experience. // Algonkian Regional Park: 47001 Fairway Drive, Sterling; $20-$25

Halloween Bustle

Sunday 8-11 a.m.
Bring the whole family along for the second annual Halloween Bustle fun run and 5k. Wear your favorite costume as you walk, jog or run the paved course. The fun run and 5k heats will be limited to 100 people to ensure proper distancing. // Occoquan Brickyard 5K: 9751 Ox Road, Lorton; $15-$25
