Urban Boxing to unveil family offerings this summer

Starting mid-July, NoVA kids and parents alike will have the opportunity to enhance their boxing skills through these unique seasonal specials.

Come Monday, July 20, hyper-active kiddos will have a new outlet for their energy, courtesy of local fitness brand Urban Boxing’s recently unveiled Kids Summer Camp.

Five-year-old Urban Boxing typically offers group classes, personal training and sports management, as well as private events, at its three locations, one of which is in Arlington. While boxing is a main focus for the business, staff members also teach regimens like kickboxing, muay thai, Brazilian jiujitsu, strength and conditioning, yoga and more, all of which will be touched on at the inaugural Kids Summer Camp.

“To give you a general idea, it will be three-hour-long day camps designed to engage kids in various physical and mental activities,” says Urban Boxing owner Burak Temel. “While the main focus will be boxing, we will also include other fun drills and games.”

The camp will take place on Monday, Wednesday and Friday each week from 1 to 4 p.m., starting the week of July 20. Temel and his team will also offer a special “five-class pack” available for families at the price of $250. Plus, the special does not expire, giving families the chance to take a break from classes at any point and return when they are ready to utilize the remaining classes.

What’s more? Families also have the option of taking Urban Boxing classes all together upon registering for Kids Summer Camp, as Temel is offering a “no-enrollment, no-commitment” offering, where families will receive a discounted membership of $149 a month. This specific family package special will be valid until Monday, Aug. 31.

While there is no official registration page available on Urban Boxing’s website yet, interested families can stay updated here and through the brand’s social media. // 3701 N. Fairfax Drive, Arlington
