Gym lovers, yogis and fitness fans of all levels are ready to get back into their pre-coronavirus routines, including going back to group workout classes. Although those look different right now, with many being held outside and at limited capacity, they’re offering a glimpse back to “normal” for many Northern Virginians. If you’re ready to get back out there, here are five outdoor classes to consider this weekend.

Keep Calm and Do Yoga: CAYA Goes Black
Friday, June 19, 8:30-9:30 a.m.
Start Juneteenth by calming your mind and spirit with a yoga session by CAYA and Alfred Street Baptist Church. The “All Black Everything” morning yoga session will be led by instructor Tyler Mitchell, who will lead participants through a soothing flow. Guests are asked to bring their own yoga mats, and water and a post-workout refreshment will be provided. // Rivergate City Park: 2 Montgomery St., Alexandria; $10

Lavender Yoga
Saturday, June 20, 9-10 a.m.
Take the time to get back to nature with Seven Oaks Lavender Farm’s morning yoga session. The outdoor event will be led by Courtney from The Peaceful Hippo. With deep stretches and the aroma from the nearby lavender fields, you’ll feel your stress melt away in no time. // Seven Oaks Lavender Farm: 8769 Old Dumfries Road, Catlett; $35

Outdoor Pure Barre Intro Classes
Saturday, June 20, 2:30-3:30 p.m.
Pure Barre Pentagon City has partnered with the Crystal City BID and LCOR to bring the barre outside. The small-sized group class will allow everyone to stay a safe distance apart as you learn the basic movements that make up Pure Barre’s signature workouts. Be sure to bring your own mat, water, towel and your mask. // The Grounds: 1102 S. Eads St., Arlington; free

Sunday Sweat
Sunday, June 21, 9:30-10:15 a.m.
Start2Fitness is hosting a drop-in class with a limited size of 10 people for a Sunday-morning sweat session. The high-intensity movements offer variety and can be customized depending on your fitness level. // $15

Bootcamp & Brunch
Sunday, June 21, 10-11:30 a.m.
Although this signature boot camp class from the Reston Association looks different now due to COVID-19, you can still enjoy great company and a challenging workout, followed by a tasty brunch. The classes are now limited to nine participants, so book early if you’re interested. // Reston Association: 12001 Sunrise Valley Drive, Reston; $25
