Is your New Year’s resolution to become more flexible? To finally do something about that back pain? Yoga can help with that.

YogaSix, a fitness boutique known best for its signature six classes (which inspired the name), is set to open two locations in Northern Virginia this year, with one in Ashburn and another in Burke.

The brand is owned by Irvine, California-based Xponential Fitness, which also owns other national fitness brands, such as Club Pilates, CycleBar, Row House and more.

According to the website, the two studios will offer six different types of yoga classes that range from calm-paced, beginner flows to strength-focused sessions with higher room temperatures. Interested attendees can start with Y6 101, a beginner-based class that helps students develop strength, flexibility and stamina.

Want more time to focus on individual poses and transitions? Head to Y6 Slow Flow, taught at a slower pace to allow students to explore and engage their bodies in a variety of ways. For other class options, students will find Y6 Restore, meant for athletes and others to stretch in a slightly heated room to restore full muscle function and prevent injuries.

The most challenging of the six classes include Y6 Hot, Y6 Power and Y6 Sculpt and Flow. Classes are heated to varying degrees and implement different training techniques and exercises to offer a different workout each time.

An official opening date has not been announced by the company as of Jan. 2, but those interested in being at the front of the first class at either location can commit to a membership and be a Y6 Founding Member, with a 25% discount for the lifetime of your membership. // YogaSix Ashburn: 44185 Ashbrook Marketplace Plaza, Suite 110, Ashburn; YogaSix Burke: 5765 Burke Centre Parkway, Suite U, Burke
