If you’re seeking spring plants or a local stop for Mother’s Day flowers, look no further than the Rosslyn Flower Market. As part of the Rosslyn Refresh series, Rosslyn BID will be opening the outdoor market Saturdays from April 24 to May 8.
Hosted at the Central Place Plaza, the market will take place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. during the three Saturday sessions. In addition to the beautiful blooms, the market will include various local vendors such as Bethany Clater Ceramics, Boso Kitchen, Fresh Impact Farm and more.
Anyone wanting to attend the flower market is encouraged to register for a one-hour time slot in advance. Only 40 people will be allowed on the plaza at any given time. Walk-in’s are also welcome when the capacity is under 40 guests.
Once you take your plants home, make sure to sign up for one of the market’s virtual classes. Three different classes will be available, including plant care basics (April 24), grow-your-own-cocktail class (April 29), and Mother’s Day flower arranging (May 8). Class prices range from $19 to $35 depending on the session.
In addition to the market, the Rosslyn Flower Cart will be taking a stroll through the neighborhood on April 22 and 29 and May 5 and 6. Stop by the cart for giveaways of herbs, plants, flowers, and seeds to take home for free. One lucky person will also have the chance to win a $25 gift card to a nearby restaurant. // 1800 N. Lynn St., Arlington; free admission
