Digging Deep
With our Hidden Foodie Gems cover story now hitting the web, I’m being constantly reminded of all the hard-to-find international eats I’ve uncovered in the area. Soup dumplings? Check. Cevapi? I know where to get that, too. Just thinking about them has me salivating. As usual, I’ve got some eating to do. –Alice Levitt, food editor/critic
Soccer Aunt
Now that April is here, it means it’s back to the field for me. I have one niece and three nephews that live close by, so once spring sports roll around I become part of the car pool. Since my Saturday mornings will be filled with soccer and baseball, I might as well be prepared. This week I will be grabbing some essentials, like a picnic blanket, cooler, and travel to help get me through those long tournaments. –Michele Kettner, associate digital & research editor
Lift Me Up
I’d love to take a scenic chair lift at Massanutten Resort. I actually had no idea those existed outside ski slopes, but it makes total sense as a way to enjoy mountain vistas like nowhere else. –Kelly Kendall, editor
