Tea Time
From matcha and Pu’er to Earl Gray and flowery tisanes, I’m a tea devotee. Pair it with fancy snacks and I’m helpless. That’s why I basically have no choice but to head to The Ritz-Carlton Pentagon City for their seasonal Cherry Blossom Afternoon Tea. It features both sweet and savory options for adults, so I, naturally, will be ordering both. –Alice Levitt, food editor/critic
A Down-and-Dirty Duel
Having skated in roller derby for seven years, I appreciate rough-and-tumble sports. So I’d like to see my first-ever live rugby match when the Toronto Arrows take on Old Glory DC on April 3 at Segra Field in Leesburg. That’s one game that looks good and brutal! –Kelly Kendall, editor
Blossom Baked Goods
With peak bloom hitting the region this weekend, it’s time to start the celebrations. While the trip to the Tidal Basin is probably out of the question for me this year, there are plenty of other ways to ring in the annual blooms. For me, I’m going to pick up the delicious cherry blossom brownies with housemade ice cream for a much-deserved sweet treat after a busy week. –Michele Kettner, associate digital and research editor
