As spring begins to bloom, communities come alive with the celebration of Holi, the Hindu festival of colors. Rooted in centuries-old traditions, Holi — also known as the Festival of Colors — welcomes a season of happiness, renewal, and connection. Here are three vibrant events to celebrate the arrival of spring.

Holi at Mosaic

April 25, 5–7 p.m.

Head over to Mosaic for this first-come, first-served celebration in collaboration with RASA. This evening event offers food and drink, music, and dancing. Participants will also receive a bag of colored washable and nontoxic powder and a T-shirt, while supplies last. RASA Mosaic, Fairfax, free

RANG – Outdoor Holi Carnival

April 26, 11a.m.– 5p.m.

Take your celebrations outdoors during this day filled with colorful fun. Visitors can enjoy food, a kid’s area, live performances, and music. Listen to the best Bollywood, Tollywood, Bhangra, and English hits with DJs SVP, Sena, and Bhavin. Free admission is available for children under 5. Droumavalla Farm, Leesburg, $7+

Festival of Colors 2026

May 3, noon–7p.m.

Eat, play, drink, and shop at this Festival of Colors experience at Bull Run Regional Park. There will be interactive dances, various vendors, a hookah lounge, and a full bar. Be sure to purchase tickets online before the event. Bull Run Regional Park, Centreville, $15+
