Find Fall Fun at the 5th Annual Parktoberfest in Centreville

Bring a blanket and relax on the lawn while enjoying live music, food, and a day in the park with family and friends.

If you’re looking for food, drinks, music, and merriment — all for a good cause, add Parktoberfest to your calendar. The event will be held on Saturday, October 4, from noon to 5 p.m. at the lawn of Middlegate House beside Cabell’s Mill in Ellanor C. Lawrence Park.

The fifth annual Parktoberfest is hosted by the Ellanor C. Lawrence Park (ECLP) Friends. ECLP works to keep the historic park flourishing through events and programs, as well as scholarships for local students. The nonprofit has raised more than $40,000 since its founding six years ago to support the Woodlands Stewardship Education Center and STREAM Loop.

“Free to attend, Parktoberfest is really about enjoying a day out at beautiful E.C. Lawrence Park, raising awareness about all the park has to offer, and connecting with nature,” says Jennifer Grinnell, president of ECLP Friends. “Healthy parks help build healthy communities.”

The day will feature live music from artists like The Walkaways, Lucas Mason, and Georgia Rae Braun. Craft beer from Ono Brewery in Chantilly will be on tap, and food trucks like TacoOne and Burgorilla will serve sandwiches, fries, tacos, and burgers.
