The sixth annual NoVA Teen Book Festival will take place on March 30 (for free), featuring numerous local and national young adult authors. Here, we got a sneak peek at work from two local authors who will be on hand at the event.

The Universal Laws of Marco
By Carmen Rodrigues
Marco Suarez will never forget his first kiss with Sally Blake, who disappeared at the end of eighth grade. Now, at the end of Marco’s senior year of high school, Sally comes back and Marco’s world—where he has a new girlfriend, is preparing to leave for college and is helping to support his family—is turned upside down figuring out just what the initial spark he felt with Sally really means.

The Everlasting Rose
By Dhonielle Clayton
In this sequel to Clayton’s The Belles, Camellia Beauregard is on the run from the evil Queen Sophia. As she attempts to bring peace back to Orléans, Camellia must find Princess Charlotte, who has disappeared, but can dispose Queen Sophia as the rightful ruler. With the help of an underground resistance movement, Camellia must decide just how much she is willing to sacrifice for her cause.
