Former fifth-grade teacher Kallie House made a career leap when she turned her love of fitness into a full-time job as a SoulCycle instructor. She’s got a fan following of riders at her classes in DC and Bethesda—and now she’s leading sweat sessions at the newly opened Clarendon location. It’s the first NoVA outpost for the wildly popular boutique fitness brand and House—who also has a fun Instagram feed worth following—is front and center in the SoulCycle studio. Here, House shares some of her fave beauty finds and NoVA hot spots.

Drink Up
“I like Vanish Farmwoods Brewery in Leesburg. I love that not just beer lovers can enjoy this place because they have beer, wine and wine cocktails (my fave!)”

Animal Attraction
“I’ve been using Drunk Elephant B Hydra Serum at night to hydrate my skin to hopefully give it more glow.”

Under the Sea
“Mario Badescu Seaweed Night Cream is oil-free and contains collagen, so it helps my skin feel more plump, fresh and moisturized come morning.”

Bronzed Beauty
“I always feel better with a little color and I love being able to instantly feel a little sun-kissed with Loving Tan Self Tanner.”

Honest Eating
“True Food Kitchen in Mosaic District is easy and you can find so many things on the menu … that you know were made with care.”

Laundry Day
“I swear by Laundress Sport Spray. When I take off my sweaty clothes after class, I immediately spray them with this and it has helped make my clothes last longer.”

Picture Perfect
“Great Falls Park is gorgeous. I’ve gone to take photos for social media, but it’s also a great place to disconnect and enjoy nature.”
