From straight razor hot towel shaves and beard sculpting to haircuts and grey blending, Bearded Goat Barber has been making men in the Ballston and Navy Yard neighborhoods look and feel their best for several years. Soon Shirlington residents will also be able to head in for a little pampering.
Federal Realty Investment Trust just announced that the third location of the Bearded Goat Barber will open in the fall of 2021 in the Village at Shirlington, a mixed-use development right off Rt. 395 that also has a Tony award-winning live theater, movie cinema, restaurants, services and shops. The exact address will be 4150 Campbell Ave., near Samuel Beckett’s Irish Gastro Pub and Damn Good Burger Co.. and like the others, it will offer a full array of hair and beard options.
“We are focused on neighborhoods that are future-focused, while retaining a certain charm,” said co-founder Scott Parker in a statement. “The Village at Shirlington is the ideal location.” Parker is also a partner behind Nighthawk Pizza, which will also open this fall at Federal’s Westpost at National Landing, formerly known as Pentagon Row.
The concept’s signature haircut includes a shampoo and scalp massage, straight razor neck shave and hot towel finish; other services include shape ups and buzz cuts, and kids under 12 can also get trims. An experience at Bearded Goat Barber is designed to be a sanctuary, with its own curated playlist and merchandise including beard oil, t-shirts, hats and tumblers.
The Bearded Goat Barber is committed to CDC COVID-19 guidelines and sanitizes workspaces, tools, chairs, capes and the waiting area. Everyone wears masks during the entire experience, employees maintain thorough and constant handwashing and guests are encouraged to do the same.
