At Capitol Ketamine and Wellness, we believe that every patient deserves to be heard, understood, and cared for with compassion. As a women-owned practice founded by three board-certified emergency physicians, we bring decades of medical experience to the treatment of depression, anxiety, PTSD, OCD, chronic pain, and other complex pain syndromes. Now in our third year of practice, we remain committed to providing thoughtful, evidence-based care in an environment that feels calm, welcoming, and safe.
Ketamine therapy can be life-changing for carefully selected patients, but we also believe that it is not appropriate for everyone. That’s why every prospective patient meets directly with one of our physicians — either in person or by Zoom — before beginning treatment. These consultations are provided at no cost and allow us to carefully review medical history, current medications, previous treatments, and treatment goals. Our extensive backgrounds in emergency medicine have given us deep experience caring for medically complex patients, allowing us to thoughtfully evaluate both the potential benefits and the safety of treatment.
Every infusion is supervised by physicians and experienced nurses. We maintain 100% physician oversight throughout every treatment session, and patients are continuously monitored with heart rate, blood pressure, and oxygen saturation monitoring. While safety is always our highest priority, comfort is equally important. Our treatment suites are intentionally designed to provide a peaceful, restorative environment where patients can relax and focus on healing. Family members are always welcome to accompany loved ones before and after treatment, and we encourage patients to involve the people who support them most.
We also believe that ketamine therapy works best as part of a comprehensive treatment plan rather than in isolation. For patients who already have therapists or psychiatrists, we collaborate closely with their existing care teams so that treatment is fully integrated into their ongoing mental health care. For those who are interested in Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP), we have developed a trusted referral network of experienced therapists who can work with patients either during treatment sessions or in follow-up care. Patients are also welcome to bring their own therapist if they prefer.
We treat adults and adolescents as young as 17 years old and welcome patients seeking care for treatment-resistant depression, anxiety disorders, PTSD, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and chronic pain conditions. We have also seen encouraging outcomes in select patients seeking relief from symptoms associated with chronic grief, long COVID, and persistent brain fog. While these are considered off-label uses of ketamine and the evidence continues to evolve, some of our patients have experienced meaningful improvements in symptoms and quality of life. Above all, we strive to create a practice where patients feel respected, informed, and supported throughout every step of their journey.
