Northern Virginia may be home to a new permanent shelter used to house unaccompanied immigrant minors. The General Services Administration is seeking 110,000 square feet of space for as long as 15 years, located in Arlington, Fairfax, Loudoun or Prince William counties. Slug lines will be relocating in Springfield during a multi-year construction project on what is now the Old Keene Mill park-and-ride lot. Army paratroopers are set to jump from the sky on Thursday, Aug. 8, at Stafford Regional Airport.
