The Virginia Department of Health has reported that anyone visiting Fauquier Health Emergency Department on Monday, June 17, or Tuesday, June 18, might have been exposed to the measles virus. The headquarters of Boeing’s Space and Launch operations currently located near the Pentagon has announced its relocation to Titusville, Florida. This will put the location in the region of the Kennedy Space Center, Cape Canaveral and Patrick Air Force Base. Boeing has 2,300 employees in the DC area. (WTOP)
Google has pledged $200,000 to the Community Foundation of Loudoun and the Loudoun Education Foundation to round out its $600 million investment in Loudoun County. The company is developing two data centers in the county, one at Arcola Center near Dulles and another at Stonewall Business Park in Leesburg. (Loudoun Times-Mirror)
Eighty-four cats were removed from a Spotsylvania home last week by the Fredericksburg SPCA, Spotsylvania County Animal Control and the Spotsylvania Animal Shelter. The initial estimate was 60, but the team ended up rescuing 84, and 10 kittens have been born from the group since. Each is getting medical attention and further evaluations before fostering and adoption will be available. (Fredericksburg.com)
