Virginians are heading to the polls to vote in several primary elections across the state on Tuesday. Logan J. Keator, a 19-year-old from Alexandria, is Virginia Lottery’s most recent $1 million winner. The auto mechanic chose the cash prize of $610,874 before taxes. According to lottery officials, two more top prizes from the 20X The Money scratcher ticket are up for grabs. (Inside NoVA)

U.S. Route 29 between Warrenton and Gainesville will be closed near Vint Hill Road starting on July 8. The closure is hoping to improve safety in the crash-prone area, and is predicted to last until early August. Northbound drivers will be detoured to U.S. Route 17 and Interstate 66, as well as Route 605. (WTOP)

Gov. Ralph Northam recently signed the “Gigi’s Law,” bill on May 30. The legislature is named after Gigi Daniel-Zaogites of Loudoun County, a non-verbal child with special needs who was photographed at her middle school in a makeshift isolation corner. The legislation prevents the use of seclusion and restraint tactics in public elementary and secondary schools. (Loudoun Times-Mirror)
