Celebrate National Doughnut Day; Wiehle-Reston East closed this weekend

Don’t overthink your breakfast today—National Doughnut Day is being celebrated throughout NoVA at multiple locations. Head to local locations of Krispy Kreme, Dunkin’ Donuts and Duck Donuts to grab your sweet treat with a purchase of a beverage (Dunkin’) or just for showing up to celebrate. (Inside NoVA)

The WMATA Silver Line extension to Dulles International Airport and Loudoun County will shut down the Wiehle-Reston East station this weekend. Construction is completed on other parts of the line but the 11-mile extension is expected to open in 2020. Another closing for Wiehle-Reston is scheduled for July 13 to 14. (WTOP)

The Virginia Department of Health announced that people at Dulles International Airport, Novant’s Haymarket hospital and Inova Fair Oaks Hospital may have been exposed to measles on the dates of June 2 to 4. Unvaccinated individuals are most at-risk of catching the illness and should look for signs of symptoms and contact their local health officials. (Inside NoVA)

A 46,000-square-foot building on Route 7 in Falls Church sold for $21.25 million this week. It is currently home to 24 Hour Fitness, which holds the lease for the next nine years. The brokerage suggests that Amazon’s HQ2 could increase commercial real estate value in the area. (Washington Business Journal)
